Why I Say Merry Christmas (I promise no preaching)
I know three posts in one morning…but I had to say this to all my readers…
I have been signing many of my comments with Merry Christmas. I do not wish to offend or get into a religion discussion here. I only want to explain why I say Merry Christmas when so many would insist you say Happy Holidays or the like.
I am not trying to be politically ignorant. I fully understand that there are other faith persuasions here. For myself I am a Catholic Christian, which means I do believe in God. Because of that this season is a very special rememberance of Jesus.
I acknowlege that religion and faith are personal choices, yet affect entire communities.
When I say Merry Christmas to you I am giving my wish of only good things for you from my most inner being, that part of me that is most true, and comes from the most sacred. Any other greeting would just pale by comparison.
So….Merry Christmas to you all…
Scott

Hi Scott,
So good to meet you . . . thanks for stopping by to visit me.
I appreciate that you’re being true to yourself.
Warmly,
Theresa
Scotty,
No need to apologise for celebrating what you believe in. Merry Christmas to YOU too!
Remember, if people DON’T like what you say they can always X out. Their choice. And if they are so seriously offended by such inoffensive cheerfulness then… good riddance I say. Coz they will only ever be a pain in the ar*e or a** – however you prefer to write or say it.
Having said that. Howdy. I don’t think we have met in Blog-Land before.
Scott, make yourself known over at my blog, we’d like to know what you and everyone thought about the Profit Pulling Project Newsletter #1.
Could everyone please make comments here:

Hi Scott!
I’m from Norway and I didn’t even start to think about the differences in saying it one way or another. What would it mean to only say marry xmas for short?
For me Christmas is all about spending time with my family and closest friends, eating good food and talk about the good times and what to come in the next year. I love this time.
Here is a new way for you to wish everybody a happy holidaychristmas, the Norwegian way
God Jul!
