How to Write Articles That Sell More

Its no secret, you’ve heard it before, articles and content are awesome ways to pre-sell products.  When you gain your readers trust and warm them up to the product…PRESTO!…your bank account just had a deposit.

You need to make a plan for your affiliate marketing articles.   It is important to select your topic carefully,  offer good correct information, and article needs to be fun to read.  Then you will be able to draw your readers interest to the product.

Selecting Your Topics

Make a list of topics for each of the products you are promoting.  Put yourself in the mind of your customer.  Your topics should revolve around problems that the product actually fixes.   Those topics are the seed for your articles.

Creating Good Information

The topics you listed will steer the type of information you will provide.  A couple of ideas for simple articles are:

Top ____ Ways to ____

____ Steps to _____

Keep your articles simple.  A captivating introductory paragraph, a couple of informative bullet points in between, and a summary paragraph to finish it off.

Remember not to give the whole enchilada.  You want to be informative and give your readers a good picture of their problem with a portion of the solution.  But direct them to your product for the complete solution.

Drive Them to the Product Link

You will find that the most productive links and recommendations will be in the context of your article.  Find an appropriate place in your article and make your product recommendation, something like “_____ is what I recommend most”

At the end of your article is another great place to put an extra recommendation.

Obviously you will be limited by the venue you are posting your article to.  If you are putting it on an article directory you will probably be limited to recommendations in the resource box.  If posting to another persons site or ezine they will have their rules.  The most freedom is posting to your own site or blog.

Summing Up

Help your readers by giving them good information and direct them to products that solve their problems.  Then you will be smiling to the bank, and you will know it is an honestly earned commission.

Here’s a phrase you’ll grow sick of: The money is in the list.  It might grate at your nerves, but it’s smacking you in the face for a reason – it’s the truth!  Just so we are on the same page, let’s answer the question, “What is a list?”

A “list” in Internet marketing jargon is the contact information for your prospects.  So if you have a product or promote products about gardening and I sign up for your list, I’m a prospect that you can market to repeatedly until I unsubscribe.

So why is building a list so important?  Picture this you are an affiliate marketer.  You find a niche you truly enjoy and you start working what you’ve learned into traffic for your affiliate links.

Over a period of 30 days, you funnel 5,000 prospects from the World Wide Web who are interested in your niche right through your affiliate link to the product owner’s site.

They even buy – yea! You’ve made a 50% commission with an industry standard 2% conversion rate.  That means 2 out of every 100 people you sent bought the product, and your share was $26.00 (as an example).  You earned a cool $2,600 this month – good for you!

But you’re leaving money on the table.  Those 100 people who bought from your 5,000 clicks?  They’re now on the product owner’s list, not yours. So what he’s going to do is send them more offers over the coming weeks.

After all, they are proven buyers.  Over the next 30 days, those buyers fork over some more money for products that complement the original one they bought.  That money goes to the product owner, not you – because you passed on building a list the first time around.

A better way to build an Internet marketing business is to start with a list from day one. Before you let a single person slip through your link without capturing their name and email address, have your system set up to build a list.

You can have unlimited lists for different niches using a simple tool like Aweber.  Every day you can log in and see how many people have signed up, and you can create automated messages to send out to help convert your list into more sales.

Why should the product owner get to cash in on that person again and again when you’re the one who brought him the customer in the first place?  Stake claim to each prospect and leverage your relationship with him for future sales and commissions.

Make Web Traffic Join Your Optin List

Because you are reading this post I am going to give you what I consider the most perfect incentive to entice website traffic to sign up to your optin list.

You know, probably from personal experience, that you will give up your email address much more quickly if there is an enticing offer.

Many internet marketers use a single giveaway and hope for the best.  They have no further meaningful contact and subsequently loose the optin lead they found.

It is far better to have meaningful contact several times with an optin lead.  You will then develop a relationship, you will develop trust, and you will develop their ability to say yes to your future offers.

In short, you will develop that website traffic from an optin lead into a customer.

How do you do this?

The number one way I know of to develop this coveted relationship and keep your product fresh in the mind of your newfound friend is through the use of an eCourse.

The beauty of an eCourse is that you load the course into your autoresponder.  Then you can go about drawing in website traffic and getting them on your optin list via the eCourse.

Here is a great report to show you how to put together an eCourse in less than a day…  best of all it comes with the perfect fee…

Why Social Media

There are two good reasons to use social media.

One is that when you create a profile, article, link, tag, or other content people can see it.  If interest is sparked they will visit your website.  Thats called “organic” traffic.  They then become fans, subscribers and customers.

The second reason social media is good is.  Whenever you build a website in a social media environment and you add content that links back to your blog, the search engines see that link.  The more the search engines see those links to your blog, the higher your blog will be ranked and the higher they will be in the listings.  The more backlinks, as they are called, the better.

Now there is a proper way to link…thats with clickable links. is a clickable link.

But we can do one better and make it Social Media

Why is this better?  You get credit for the link to your blog, BUT you also get credit for the keyword or “tag”  Social Media as well.  So you get two for the price of one.

So when you go around “tagging” on social media sites remember to make it clickable and use a good keyword/s

Thats it for today, there is alot more to Social Media and driving traffic to your blog with it…but we will cover more another day.

What Makes Twitter so Hot?

What Makes Twitter so Hot?
Oh Twitter how I love thee! Although you might not hear those exact words said very often online, you know it’s true when you login to your Twitter account or visit someone’s blog. With the emergence of WordPress plug-ins like “TwitThis” and the various twitter badges found on numerous blogs throughout the Internet, it is obvious people adore Twitter. Just what is it that makes this social networking site so lovable? Let’s find out.

The question posed by Twitter, “What are you doing?” has become almost as popular as AOL’s “You’ve got mail.” So much so that it has even caught the eye of offline news mediums such as USA Today, CNN, and ABC. This helps to make the application popular all on its own. Those who think Twitter is just a place for computer or Internet geeks can rest assured it’s nothing of the sort.

For many, Twitter is a way to interact with like-minded individuals. Whether one is a stay at home mom who craves adult conversation, an at home worker who misses the water cooler chit-chat from past jobs, or the business owner who wants to reach more of their target market, this form of social media fills a need. It makes it easier for people to connect with others in a way they might not have previously been able to.

The fact Twitter is easily accessible and even simpler to navigate makes it a favorite as well. Anyone can create a twitter account of their own with nothing more than a user name and a password. Once that’s done, it’s easy to customize your profile and begin following other tweeps, as those who use Twitter affectionately call one another. To follow what another person is doing, just visit their page and click the follow button. You’ve now been added as a follower and when you login to your account you will see their messages on your screen.

Want to use Twitter even when you’re not at home or don’t have access to your computer? No problem. Inside your account you can choose whether to have messages sent via cell phone or instant messenger programs as well. Just browse to your settings and choose the devices tab and in a few steps you’re good to go. This feature makes it possible to tweet on the go. This is perfect for those who travel frequently or while out and about come across something interesting or amusing that they’d like to share with their followers.

Twitter’s arrival has also lead to the creation of different platforms and applications to make it appealing to just about everyone. Popular applications include, Twitter Fox, Twhirl, TweetDeck, and TweetMyBlog. Twitter Fox and Twhirl give users who are prefer the instant messaging look and feel a way to use Twitter in somewhat the same manner. Twitter Fox is an extension for the Firefox browser and Twhirl is a desktop application.

TweetMyBlog is a way to automatically post updates from a user’s blog to Twitter. In order to use it all one needs is a Twitter account and an RSS feed from their blog. It will automatically posts a tweet using your account when your blog is updated.

Tweet Deck is another desktop application that allows for more organization of updates. Instead of posting all a users tweets one right after another, it allows the user to organize tweets into separate columns within the application. For those who have customers and friends on Twitter this is a great feature.

Blogging is the Prime method to develop expertise

After attending Alex Jeffreys Module #3 training session last night it has become crystal clear to me that blogging is one of THE most important ways to develop your online presense.

It can also be a self regulator.  By that I mean it will make you accountable.  For example, If I know that I am developing a readership I owe it to you as that reader to offer good information.  If I owe that to you then I will have to continue to learn and grow my abilities.

I came across a great little document that shows how to get moving with a blog.  It focuses on WordPress as the vehicle.  I went off and bought the Master Resell Rights so that I can offer it FREE here.

So if ya would like it, its yours fill out the form below please
